Research

In 1954 Attilio began intensive research only to discover a real lack of drawings and technical data.  He found a drawing of the Bell Tower (Campanila) in the St. Mark’s Library in Rome and another drawing of the facade of the Basilica of St. Mark’s done by a German student.  So, he went to Venice and took thousands of photographs, aerial views from helicopters, actual surveys, and measurements of buildings to complete his own set of working drawings.  The work was done at his studio in Rome located near the Vatican at Viole Regina Margherita 86.
